Nicole Jakubik is a New York City-based filmmaker and artist who is passionate about telling stories through visual mediums.
From 2012-2015, Jakubik served as co-owner and Editor in Chief for the online entertainment news site musicholics.com. While studying film at Michigan State University, she discovered her love for telling inspiring and relatable character-driven stories. In 2016 she wrote and produced her first narrative feature film SORTA LATE, which premiered at the Traverse City Film Festival. Over the last decade, Jakubik has worked across the US and internationally to bring new and innovative content to life through projects for Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV+, NBCUniversal, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, and various nonprofit organizations.
Throughout her life, Jakubik has cultivated and developed a love for creating art through printmaking, painting, and graphic design. Blending skills learned through formal instruction and self-taught methods, she has cultivated a body of work that reflects her inspiration for the natural world and the stories of people who reside in it by specializing in linocut prints, oil paintings, and pitch decks.
